BlockchainSpace, a Southeast Asian Web3 community enabler, has partnered with Smart Communications, a leading telecommunications provider in the Philippines, to explore Web3 solutions that could drive growth and unlock new opportunities. The collaboration is expected to connect communities more securely and meaningfully and further foster Web3 adoption in the Philippines and beyond.
BlockchainSpace CEO Peter Ing acknowledged that Filipinos have been pioneers in Web3 usage, particularly since the pandemic's peak. Millions of Filipinos own crypto wallets and are active in GameFi, making the Philippines a leader in Southeast Asia's Web3 adoption. The partnership with Smart will aim to build on this foundation.
Vice president and head of prepaid and content at Smart, Lloyd Manaloto, stated that the partnership fits with Smart’s mission of empowering Filipinos with the latest digital innovations. Leveraging the country's fast mobile and wide 5G network, Smart, together with BlockchainSpace, will aim to unlock the value of Web3 for greater accessibility and connectivity.
BlockchainSpace plans to launch The Creator Circle, a program for creators in collaboration with Smart. The program aims to support the emerging creator economy, allowing creators to monetize their content, skills, and build communities.
