Co:Create, a Web3 infrastructure firm, has launched a cutting-edge application on the Shopify platform, giving millions of businesses the capability to establish blockchain-based loyalty and rewards programs.
The Web3 Rewards Tools application, powered by Ethereum sidechain Polygon, is designed to help brands foster stronger relationships with their customers using non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and gamified experiences. Brands now have the opportunity to issue token-based rewards and unveil token-gated products in combination with their NFT collections and existing projects such as Bored Ape Yacht Club and CryptoPunks.
Co:Create CEO and co-founder, Tara Fung, emphasizes that commerce is a vital way to engage the community that supports a brand, and Web3 technology offers merchants the chance to provide digital ownership to their loyal customers.
Fung also highlighted the significant role of commerce in helping startups and new brands to build their audiences and engage their communities. She believes smaller, more authentic brands will be eager to deepen their community engagement rather than simply using Web3 as a marketing strategy.
While Co:Create's app is set to introduce more brands to the Web3 rewards ecosystems, it isn't the first of its kind. In March, Avalanche-based community engagement platform Try Your Best (TYB) also launched its application on the Shopify app store, allowing brands to integrate NFT-based loyalty programs into their storefronts.
Apart from commerce, Co:Create's mission extends to bridging the gap between fans and the brands they adore through real-world experiences. In a recent venture, Co:Create partnered with ticketing app EVNTZ to provide blockchain-based rewards to attendees of pop star Harry Styles' concert at Slade Castle in Ireland.
